Kate Beaton is the Canadian cartoonist behind the very successful comic website, Hark! A Vagrant. Her Drawn and Quarterly book of the same title was named one of the top ten fiction books of 2011 by Time Magazine. She hails from Cape Breton but currently resides in Toronto.
