Kamal Al-Solaylee is an associate professor at Ryerson University’s School of Journalism. A former theatre critic for the Globe and Mail, his byline has appeared in The Walrus, Toronto Life, The Toronto Star, and Elle Canada. His debut book, Intolerable: A Memoir of Extremes, was a finalist for the Hilary Weston Prize for Non-fiction in 2012 and winner of the 2013 Toronto Book Award.
